Scope and Contents

The major event was a public meeting at the Arch Street Meeting House on October 24. The major address by T. Edmund Harvey was broadcast to the meeting from London. Other participants were Edward Martin, Governor of Pennsylvania; Edward Frederick Lindley Wood, Earl of Halifax and British Ambassador to the United States; and Rufus M. Jones. In addition Penn was commemorated throughout the year in various publications and exhibitions.
