Correspondents include Elizabeth E. Lea, her daughter Mary (Lea) Stabler, and Mary's husband, Henry Stabler. Elizabeth Lea lived near Sandy Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Stablers lived in Alexandria, Virginia, though by the 1860's the Stablers had moved to Brighton, Montgomery County, Maryland, near Sandy Spring.
