Scope and Contents
After their honeymoon, Nelson and Marian settle in Ann Arbor. In August, the U.S. dropped the nuclear bomb, and Nelson’s letter reflects his sentiments about its destructiveness. Nelson still longs to serve in China since he’d trained so long, but political and personal concerns intervened. Nelson applies for an academic position, they are involved with collecting for European relief.
