Scope and Contents

The article discussed a map, drawn by Catharine Morris Wright (1899-1988), that showed where on the old Wharton estate, Lay's cave was thought to have been located. Also included is a News Bulletin of The Germantown Historical Society about Lay, 1945. Part of a spoon, labelled "Spoon found at the cave formerly inhabited by Benjamin Lay, near Branchtown, Philada" has been removed to Relics Collection, FHL, # 948.
