146 pages. Lucretia Mott was a prominent Philadelphia Quaker and a leader in reform movements, especially antislavery, education, peace, and women's rights. She was one of the founders of the Philadelphia Female Anti-Slavery Society and led a delegation of women to the 1840 World Anti-Slavery Convention held in London. Mott kept this diary of her experiences when she and the other female delegates were refused partipation because of their gender.
