Scope and Contents

13 pages. Susan Roberts was a Quaker educator and editor of the "Friends' Intelligencer". Roberts's manuscript, titled "Some Reminiscences of Lucretia Mott", details her recollections of Mott in Quaker Meetings; says "Most strange, it seems to me, that her greatest utterances were never garnered up, when voices so far less worthy of remembrance, found way into the literature of the times". Maria Mott Davis provides editorial comments and forwards the manuscript to her daughter Anna Davis Hallowell, who was in charge of preparing a biography about Lucretia Mott.
