2 pages. Written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott gives her sister news of friends and family and discusses Abraham Lincoln, his cabinet, and the relationship of slavery to the war. Mott also talks at length of the dismissal of John C. Frémont, a Union general who favored emancipation and under whom Mott's son-in-law Edward M. Davis served.
