4 pages. Written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott gives news of family and friends to her niece Anna Coffin Temple Brown, who is visiting England. She talks about illnesses and childbirths in particular, as well as Maria Hopper's ill-health after working as a nurse at an army hospital in City Point, Virginia. Mott also discusses the sudden death of John Hopper, brother of Edward Hopper and Abby Hopper Gibbons. George Lord gives more details about Maria Hopper (repeated from Mott's note of 1864-08-08, scanned as A00182051).
