4 pages. Written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott discusses the collective reaction to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln on April 15 and passes on other news of friends and family. She describes an incident in which her husband, James Mott, fell and injured himself. Mott also conveys sympathy for Frances Adeline Seward, whose husband and children had recently been injured in an assassination attempt.
