2 pages. Thomas Burnett Pugh letter to Lucretia Mott; Lucretia Mott letter. Thomas Burnett Pugh (1829-1884) was an abolitionist, publisher and bookseller, and lecture manager. At the behest of Susan B. Anthony, Pugh requests that Lucretia Mott present Anthony to the audience at her lecture on December 12th. The reverse of the letter has a fragment of a Lucretia Mott letter of an unknown date to an unknown recipient in which she discusses her activities around the home and news about family members and friends. She also expresses her desire to have Elizabeth Cady Stanton write out her views on marriage and divorce "so as to disabuse those who hear and read all the...things said of her."
