Lucretia Mott writes that she had Paulina Davis and Sarah Pugh over, and they told her about the Washington Meeting. Davis and Isabella Beecher Hooker are seeking signers of their petition to the Judiciary Committee to give women the right to vote. They asked if Martha Wright will go to Albany to get signers, and Lucretia lists people in Philadelphia she thinks they could get to sign. She discusses recent activities of family and friends; Martha Wright is suffering from rheumatism. Briefly talks about a meeting and mentions Victoria Claflin Woodhull. Partially written over a letter from Charlotte L. Peirce to Lucretia Mott in which she recalls going to the Seneca Falls Convention, and she alludes to the current divisions within the woman suffrage movement but feels that "our aim is the same, what matter if we all do not all choose the same means to accomplish it?"
