4 pages. Lucretia Mott letter to Martha Mott Lord; Thomas Mellor letter to Lucretia Mott. Written in part from Roadside. Lucretia Mott writes that Martha Wright is too ill to go to Boston, and she thinks she will not go either. She talks about her own health and says she feels strong. She writes that "the Woodhull or Claflin case in court" came off better than feared. Susan B. Anthony "has started for California - out of the way of all the flings and reflections - and some say E. C. Stanton has gone too." Partially written over a letter from Thomas Mellor to Lucretia Mott (dated March 29, 1871) declining an invitation to dine with Lucretia.
