2 pages. Fragment. Likely written to Martha Mott Lord. Lucretia Mott discusses attending the ceremony for the laying of the cornerstone of the Home for Aged and Infirm Colored Persons. She describes it as "Stephen Smith's noble edifice" and mentions his donation of $25,000. She then details the illness and death of someone named "Anna," who seems to be a cousin of Lucretia. Partially written over a short note from James Miller McKim (the recipient is unclear).
