4 pages. Lucretia Mott letter to Martha Mott Lord. Written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott shares recent news about herself and family members. She writes that smallpox has been reported in Camptown, but she believes "the disease is decreasing." She discusses the possibility of Martha Wright going to a meeting in Washington and says they should not leave all the work to the Boston Society. She briefly discusses the 15th Amendment and criticizes C. C. Burleigh's position on it. She recently attended an annual meeting of a women's rights organization, where they discussed marriage and the rights of wives. She briefly mentions the Woman's Indian Aid Society.
