5 pages. Written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott writes that Anna Davis Hallowell has returned from Europe and given an entertaining and evocative description of her travels. She also shares news of several other family members and friends. She writes that Edward Davis said that Elizabeth Cady Stanton "never spoke better" than at the Washington Woman Suffrage Meeting. She is reading the autobiography of Mary Somerville and is looking forward to reading the autobiography of J. Stuart Mill.
