Lossing has written a letter to Thomas Mott on the first page and has copied a letter from Lucretia Mott to Lossing (dated February 22, 1879) on the second and third pages. Lossing's letter discusses the possibility of including a sketch of Lucretia Mott in the next edition of his work on "distinguished Americans."
