Pearsall, Margaretta B. Les Lettres le livre quatrieme, 1792-1793

Letter book of Margaret Bowne Pearsall [Haydock]. d. 1799, daughter of Joseph and Hannah Bowne Pearsall. She married Henry Haydock under the care of New York Monthly Meeting on 1793, 12mo 11. Her draft letters are addressed to Debby Ferris, Hannah Hopkins, Mary Bowne and other friends and relatives. She describes the absorption of others in matrimony and notes that she is in no hurry. In late 1793, there is mention of yellow fever in Philadelphia. The ms is damaged and last fragement is signed M.B. Haydock. Gift of NYYM, 1997.
