Long letter to Caleb McComber, Quaker minister (d. 1851), with local news, including sudden death from typhoid of Thomas Scattergood and his funeral, attended by more than two thousand. An account of the yearly meeting, the visiting ministers, and discussion on distilling of liquor. Foulke (1758-1820) relates that she is living with the parents of Dr. Parrish in Philadelphia, helping as a housekeeper. Gift of New York Yearly Meeting, 1997
