Scope and Contents
Two issues of a childhood newsletter written by Abby M. Hall and Beulah W. Darlington of West Chester, Pa. Number 1 is manuscript, stating intention to publish on a limited basis; Vo1. 1, No.4 is printed. Abby M. Hall (1870-1948) graduated from Swarthmore College, Class of 1890. In 1908 she married Chester Roberts who had succeeded her brother, William J. Hall, as superintendent of the College. She and Beulah W. Darlington (b. 1870 and lived with her aunts in West Chester during her childhood) collected little pieces of local information "with good morals." Abby Roberts later was a co-editor of a children's magazine, Scattered Seeds. Transferred from Serial Group 2 in 2012.
