Biographical / Historical

Werner Muller, a Quaker from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, graduated from the George School and Haverford College. He volunteered for the VISA Program in 1961, and worked in community development in Tanganyika for two years. Helen Tyson Muler earned a BA degree from Wellesley and spent two summers working with the AFSC in Mexico (1959) and in Lebanon (1960). After graduation she also volunteered for VISA in Tanganyika. She and Werner married in 1964.
