Mentioned arrangements for the marriage service and that brother Joseph Townsend opted to not stand as groomsman. Townsend spoke with Mary's parents, and they requested to meet with his. Townsend Sharpless and Mary Brinton Jones were married 9 month 7, 1815 under the care of Birmingham Monthly Meeting. Townsend wrote with deep affection.
