Biographical / Historical
David Ogden arrived in Pennsylvania in 1682 on the ship The Welcome with a certificate of transfer from London Yearly Meeting. His grandson Aaron Odgen (born 1754) married Esther Preston, and they had nine children. Son Stephen Ogden (1777-1846) married Hannah Bartram under the care of Darby Monthly Meeting in 1805, and they removed to Middletown Monthly Meeting, Ohio, the same year. Sister Rachel Ogden (1782-1869) married Abner Malin in 1803, and younger sister Martha Ogden married John Archer in 1807 in Christ Church.
