Abstract

This collection contains a circular with extracts of the minutes of the Executive Committee of the Free Produce Association of Friends, 1834, which notes its organization in Sixth Month [June] of the previous year; a circular dated 1848 addressed to Isaac Thorne announcing the opening of a store on Pearl Street; and published reports of the Board of Managers, 1849, 1851-1854.

Abstract

This collection contains information sent to Tyler Williams, agent for Shrewsbury Monthly Meeting, N.J., concerning the Asylum for the Relief of Persons Deprived of the Use of Their Reason. It includes the proposal for the Asylum, announcement of its opening, an admission certificate, and other circulars that were sent to meetings under the care of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.

Thomas Willis writings relating to the Separation and Quaker testimonies

Abstract These writings, apparently a draft in answer to Evan Lewis's defense of Hicks, elucidate Willis's beliefs and his account of the Separation, including his being part of the committee that presented the complaint against Hicks which culminated in the disownment of Hicks in 1829 by the Orthodox faction. Stephen Grellet travel papers

Abstract

The collection contains travel minutes for Stephen Grellet's ministry in 1800-1805 in the northeastern U.S., a copy of Stephen Grellet's account of the religious conversion of a Swede who was called upon to preach to pirates, and the original and a manuscript copy of Grellet's religious epistle dated 24, 6mo, 1813, to New York Monthly Meeting, sent from Morlaix, France.

Marie Ogden Francke "My Little Talks with You" collection
