Abstract The collection is composed of three scrapbooks compiled by Sarah Coates Harris, Quaker reformer and naturalist of Galena, Illinois. Scrapbook 1 contains newspaper clippings that reflect Harris' activities in horticultural, temperance, suffrage, and other civic endeavors as well as biographical information about her husband and local history.
