Wharton Family Silhouette Collection
This collection consists of silhouettes of the Wharton family, a Hicksite Quaker family who founded Swarthmore College in 1864, and depicts the family and related friends. The collection dates from 1856 to 1897.
John G. Whittier Photograph Collection
John Greenleaf Whittier was a New England Quaker poet, journalist, and abolitionist. His poetry, inspired by his religious and moral beliefs, was well regarded during his lifetime, and he was respected by both Orthodox and Hicksite Quakers. This collection contains portraits of Whittier at various ages, photographs of his homes, and a lithograph on stone, among other items. Included are photographs removed from two albums and placed in sleeves.

Wilmer J. and Mildred Binns Young photographs
Wilmer J. Young (1887-1983), a Quaker teacher and peace activist born in Iowa, was involved in post World War I reconstruction in France and Poland. He married Mildred Binns in 1922, and together they worked with AFSC work camps and cooperative farms until he began to teach at Pendle Hill in 1955. This collection of photographs documents their work and personal life.
