George A. Hoadley photograph collection
The collection contains photographs taken by George A. Hoadley, long-time professor of physics at Swarthmore College and secretary of the Franklin Institute. A founder of the Swarthmore College Camera Club, he was a avid amateur photographer. Approximately 2,000 of his glass negatives were preserved in the family home; they illustrate Swarthmore College and local homes and sites from circa 1899-1929.
Hunn-Karsner Photograph Collection.
The collection contains photographs of the family of Quakers Ezekiel Hunn and Lydia Jones Sharpless Hunn and their granddaughter, Katherine Hunn Karsner, who married Joseph Reed Karsner in 1930. Compiled Katherine Hunn Karsner, it includes 19th century family albums, early twentieth century photographs, and also focuses on Katherine's daughter, Mary Ann Karsner Kegler (1932-1983) who moved to Alaska as a college student and was one of the founders of Chena Ridge Monthly Meeting.
Clara R. Dewees photograph collection
Picture collection that includes labeled formal photographs of Westtown classmates, all adddressed to Clara R. Dewees; three small albums containing snapshote of Westtown and Binns and Dewees family members; large formal family portraits, most not labeled.
Russell and Juanita Rosene slides, scrapbook, and videocassette
This collection, consisting primarily of color photographic slides, documents Russell and Juanita Rosene's time as international development workers in the Gaza Strip 1949-1950 and in Guatemala 1961-1964.
Tyler Arboretum photographs
This collection contains assorted photographs of John J. Tyler Arboretum (also known as Painter Arboretum), printed about 1995, and depicting the site from 1801 to 1996. Most of the photographs were collected as part of a nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting lantern slide collection
This is a collection of glass lantern slides, originally owned by Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting (CPMM), and likely compiled by the Philadelphia Young Friends' Association. Most slides depict Quaker meetinghouses, portraits of Quakers, slides of Quaker conferences, or topics relating to Quakerism in the United Kingdom.
