Courtney C. Smith Papers
Courtney C. Smith (1916-1969) was the ninth president of Swarthmore College, from 1953 to his death. The collection contains his official correspondence including correspondence with faculty. It includes extensive material on the controversy surrounding the construction of The Blue Route, Interstate Highway 476.
Leah Smith office files
Leah Smith was an administrator at Swarthmore College, at various times holding the positions of Assistant to the President and Director of Institutional Research, as well as Acting Associate Provost and Acting Dean of the College. This collection is made up of materials amassed by Leah J. Smith in her role as Assistant to the President (also included are some materials carried over from the Assistant to the President prior to Smith).

Joseph Swain Papers
This collection contains the official and personal correspondences and related papers of Joseph Swain, sixth president of Swarthmore College (1891-1921). He was notable for presiding over the development of the college into a top-ranked academic institution.
Swarthmore College Admissions and Financial Aid records
In the early years of Swarthmore College, applicants applied directly to the College President and the cost of attendance was $350 per year. In the 21st century, a separately staffed Admissions Office and an Office of Financial Aid exist to support these functions. This small collection, dating from 1869 to 2003, includes admissions blanks, lists of applicants, reports, and other materials that document Swarthmore's admissions and financial aid policies and procedures.
Swarthmore College Advocacy Training Group Project Records
Collection contained the records of the Advocacy Training Group Project at Swarthmore College that trained students as peer faciliators in mediation and conflict resolution. It also includes materials related to various types of student advocacy in the late 1980s through the early 1990s.

The Swarthmore Alumni Association records, 1882-1990, include meeting minutes, correspondence, publications, brochures, mailings, and directories for a variety of organizations of Swarthmore College Alumni, both in the Philadelphia area and elsewhere.
Swarthmore College alumni files
Files created by the alumni office and added to over time by Friends Historical Library staff. These files typically contain basic information about the student (occupation, residence, etc.), newspaper clippings and obituaries, correspondence with the alumni office (usually about donations), and sometimes other material. Occassionally includes photographs.
