Abstract
This collection includes miscellaneous papers of the Decow family, including wills, financial papers, personal correspondence, and legal documents. Notable among these is the daily journal of Isaac Decow, the son of Jacob Decou.

Biographical / Historical
The son of Isaac and Susanna Ashton Decou, Jacob Decou was born in 1668 in England. In 1699 he married Elizabeth Newbold in a Quaker ceremony and settled in Mansfield, Burlington County, N.J. Jacob Decow died in 1735.
