Family news. Writer wrote that she had been nursing Clara who was visiting for four weeks. Clara was ill with a severe cold and cupped twice. Townsend mentioned the sudden death of Mother Townsend who was well respected for her care of the poor; her funeral was well attended. Townsend commented that she was busy with her children and hoped to continue to nurse the baby until she cut teeth.
