The Swarthmore Grammar School was a private school founded in 1892 by Arthur Hibbs Tomlinson after the preparatory school at Swarthmore College was closed. It moved to the corner of South Chester Road and Harvard Avenue in 1896. The headmaster's house, "Rustone," was at 200 South Chester Road.
