A descendant of William and Emma Bancroft, Chenda Davison proposed to research the beginnings of Woodlawn and write a history. She was hired to continue the referencing and cataloging of John Ward's research work and transcriptions. She maintained the topical order created by John Ward and added an index of the "journals/letter books" under broad categories such as Society of Friends, Schools, Trustees.
