Pennock Passmore (1790-1857) was the grandfather of Sarah West Passmore Elkinton. In 1822, he married Sarah West. Pennock Passmore served as superintendent at Westtown School and Sarah as matron. She was an elder at Goshen Monthly Meeting. Also in the volume, following Pennock Passmore's commonplace entries, is an account of a visit in the ministry to North Carolina Yearly Meeting in 1851-1852 by Mary Kite of Birmingham Monthly Meeting, accompanied by Mary Passmore and Pennock Passmore.
