Biographical / Historical
The American Interracial Peace Committee (AIPC) was a joint effort of African-Americans and the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) to enlist support of African-Americans for peace organizations. The committee was headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and began in 1928. It was affiliated with the National Association of Colored Women. Members of the advisory board included Jane Addams, Mary McLeod Bethune, and W.E.B. DuBois.
