Begun in 1941 as the Ministers' No War Committee, the name was changed to the Churchmen's Committee for a Christian Peace following Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941. Dr. Albert W. Palmer was the Chairman. The Ministers' No War Committee sponsored the Churchmen's Campaign for Peace Through Mediation.
