The Manhattan Project was a direct action campaign to shut down the New York Stock Exchange on Oct. 28, 1979 on the fiftieth anniversary of the 1929 stock market crash. Founders of the Manhattan Project held Wall Street as largely responsible for the arms race and nuclear industry proliferation.
