Jewish Women's Committee to End the Occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Collected Records
Scope and Contents
This small collection includes correspondence, programmatic material, financial records, photographs, audiovisual material, photographs, and reference material. Because more donations of records were expected, the collection designation was originally DG 179. This was eventually revoked and the collection became a collected document group (CDGA).

Historical note
Founded in April 1988 by Clare Kinberg, Irena Kelpfisz and Gracy Paley in New York City. Women of the JWCEO held weekly vigils outside major American Jewish organizations to show that there was not unanimous support in the American Jewish community for the Israeli government's policies in the West Bank and Gaza. JWCEO was associated with the Israel Women's Alliance Against the Occupation, and with Women In Black.
