Friends Committee on Arizona Legislation; FCAL; headquartered in Tempe, Arizona; founded in 1973 by members of the Society of Friends (Quakers); modeled as a state-level version of the Friends Committee on National Legislation; promoted legislation which advanced the historical testimonies of Friends, including abolishment of the death penalty, prison reform, peace, racial and civil liberties, and economic justice.
