Biographical / Historical
Paul Jones, Episcopal bishop of Utah at the outbreak of World War I, was an active socialist whose opposition to United States participation in the war ultimately cost him his ecclesiastical position in 1918. He died in 1941 after being at least partially vindicated by the Episcopal hierarchy. He was a leader of the Fellowship of Reconciliation in its early years.
