There are also a number of letters addressed to Josef Albers at Black Mountain College in North Carolina, sometimes referencing seeing him in an American magazine “Heute,” petitioning him for aid. He donated to the benefit auction for the NY Subcommittee, and appears on the contributor list for the Food Parcels.
