Scope and Contents

In June 1956 the Peace and Social Action Committee sent a letter to Monthly Meetings across the southern United States asking about how the Meeting was working against segregation. (The letter is not present in the file) 17 responses were received from meetings in Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri, Virginia, Florida, and Texas, mostly reporting a lack of consensus around integration.
