4/30/1798 - 6/2/1798: Inscribed on front cover as "John Pierce's" and at top of page 1 "Notes on a visit to the Seneca Nation of Indians by Joshua Sharples and John Pierce. 1798"
6/23/1798 - 7/8/1798: with note "fragment of John Pierce's journal on a visit to the Oneida Indians (NY) 1798"
8/31/1801 - 9/30/1801: rough copy
8/31/1801 - 10/25/1801: These describe a visit to the Seneca Nation. Available on microfilm at Haverford: Microfilm824, reel 12.
