Biographical / Historical
The meeting was founded in 1948. It first home was on Washington Square in central Austin, a beautiful old brick building which in turn became home to the Austin Zen Center in 2001. The Meeting worshipped at the Hancock Recreation Center until, in 2007 they moved into their current meeting house on East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in East Austin in a church building that was formerly home to St. James Episcopal Church.
