Biographical / Historical
"Salamanca Commission" (U.S. Commission to locate villages in the Allegany Indian Reservation, N.Y.) These are the papers (1871-1877) of Joseph Scattergood, who was a member of the commission. The other two commissioners were John Manly of New York and Henry Shanklin of Kansas.
