Scope and Contents
Records of Flushing Monthly Meeting, 1725-2023, include minutes 1675-2022, membership and vital records 1725-2001, subscription records and financial records from 1772-2002, a significant collection of property records related to the historic meeting house and Flushing Friends Cemetery / burial ground (1676-2013), some committee records (including Trustee records and Bylaws/Incorporation), newsletters and histories of the meeting, and the records of the People of Color Worship and Reflection Group under Flushing's care.

Biographical / Historical
Flushing Monthly Meeting was reestablished in 1805, set off from New York Monthly, under Westbury Quarterly Meeting. The Orthodox branch was laid down in 1830, members attached to New York Monthly Meeting. Flushing Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) was reunited with the Orthodox branch when Westbury and New York Quarterly meetings reunited in 1957. Flushing Monthly Meeting remains active to date.
