Biographical / Historical

Le Ray Monthly Meeting was established in 1815, set off from Galway Monthly, as a part of Easton Quarter. It became part of Saratoga Quarter on its establishment in 1815. The Hicksite branch became a part of Scipio Quarter in 1833 and was set off to Genesee Yearly on its establishment in 1834. The last record of this meeting is from 1847. The Orthodox branch became a part of LeRay Quarterly Meeting in 1830. On the laying down of LeRay Quarter in 1873, the monthly meeting was attached to Butternuts Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox)
