Biographical / Historical

A meeting for worship at Newmarlborough was allowed by Nine Partners Monthly Meeting in 1776; the preparative meeting was in existence before 1780. It was set off under Creek Monthly Meeting in 3mo 1782, and then to Cornwall, when it in turn was established in 1788. It became part of Marborough Monthly Meeting in 1804. The name of Marlborough Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) was changed to Milton in 1888. Milton Executive Meeting was laid down in 1963.
