Biographical / Historical

Valley Preparative Meeting was set off in the late 1700s under Cornwall Monthly Meeting. It was transferred to Marlborough Monthly Meeting on that body's establishment in 1804. In 1828 it divided into Orthodox and Hicksite branches. The Orthodox branch changed its name to Plattkill Preparative Meeting in 1902. This meeting had four members in 1948 and was laid down some time thereafter.
