Biographical / Historical

In 1957, Wilmington Monthly Meeting appointed a Committee of Oversight to organize and oversee the development of a Meeting for Worship at Wilmington Friends School, in order to ease overcrowding at the parent meeting ; this Indulged Meeting and First Day School was referred to as the School Road Meeting. In 1962, the School Road Worship Group, with the encouragement of Wilmington Monthly Meeting, appointed a Clerk and started to hold business meetings on its own ; the Committee of Oversight was laid down in 1963.
