Includes: Women's minutes, 1827-1847 and 1903-1907; women's account book, 1852-1901; miscellaneous papers relating to history of Darby meeting, 1902-1961.

Biographical / Historical
A meeting for worship at Darby was established in 1682 by Chester Monthly Meeting. In 1684 the meeting became part of Darby Monthly Meeting. A preparative meeting was established in 1701.
In 1831, Darby Preparative Meeting (Orthodox) removed its meeting place to Lansdowne. Darby Preparative Meeting was transferred to Chester Monthly Meeting in 1849 and then to Lansdowne Monthly Meeting in 1904. Its name was changed to Lansdowne Preparative Meeting in 1924; the Orthodox preparative meeting was discontinued in 1953.
Darby Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1898.
