Biographical / Historical

Middletown Preparative Meeting was established in 12mo 1722/3. In 1827, after the Hicksite Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The Orthodox preparative meeting was transferred to Falls Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) in 1862 and discontinued some time after that date. Middletown Preparative Meeting (Hicksite) was discontinued in 1918.
